On June 1st, Xin Hua reporter learned from the China Giant Panda Protection Research Center that the panda who showed up in Wenchuan has been identified as "Zhenzhen",the female giant panda introduced in the wild training field of the National Nature Reserve in Wolong.

At present, "Zhenzhen" has been successfully recaptured.

On March 5th, after two months of adaptive training, "Zhenzhen" was transferred from Hetaoping base in Wolong to Tiantai Mountain region of the Wolong National Nature Reserve.

On May 7th, researchers observed the behavior changes and physiological reactions of Zhen Zhen, and it came to the conclusion that Zhenzhen had entered the estrus and gradually spread to the outside circle of adaptation.

The Tiantai Mountain region is adjacent to the Wenchuan grass slope nature reserve.

Zhenzhen searched information left by other wild giant panda, often shuttling back and forth in two regions.

On May 31st, villagers in Jin Bo village found traces of Zhenzhen.

Subsequently, researchers rushed to the scene and recaptured Zhenzhen and send it to Wolong Geng Da Shen Shu Ping base.

It is reported that due to the estrus period of the giant panda, the field introduction experiment will be cancelled this year.
