Giant panda Shulan returns to Dujiangyan for better care,consuming 5kg bamboo per day   2017-03-20 17:49:41     


  Giant panda Shu Lan who has draw a lot of public attention left Lanzhou on March 16th to return to its hometown in southwest China's Sichuan Province.3 experts from China Giant Panda Protection Research Center has made a full asessment of panda's health.Experts said Shu Lan is in normal health, but concluded that she has shown multiple symptoms of aging.

  Staffs who sent Shu Lan to a conservation and research center for Giant Panda in Sichuan has done their efforts to help Shulan maintain her health.

  On 17th,Today, reporter learned from China giant panda protection and research center in Dujiangyan base that giant panda Shu lan now moved into a new apartment and started her retirement life.Shequickly adapted to the new home and ate 5 kilograms of bamboo shoots,which is better than expected.

  It is understood that the center has specially arranged two keepers to look after Shu Lan. She will remain at monitoring animal in quarantine period,afer which the protection and research center willcarry out a comprehensive physical examination of her body condition as soon as possible.
